There are more radio-controlled land vehicles than all other types of radio-controlled vehicles. There are toy models, and there are the more popular and powerful hobby models. Within the hobby models there are gas and nitro-powered vehicles, and there are also electric-powered vehicles.

What makes landcraft so interesting is that while the chassis might remain constant, the "body" can be changed to give the vehicle an entirely different look. Within a minute it is possible to change a stock Hummer into a flame-bearing race car.

Some vehicles are small and can fit in the palm of your hand. Others can be huge, some up to 1/5 scale of the original vehicle after which it is modeled. Most are designed to be carried by hand. Many can travel at very fast speeds, reaching 40-50 miles per hour or more.
